A Unique Approach To Arts Education

Our Story

Green Stripe Consulting, LLC draws inspiration from Henri Matisse’s iconic painting, Portrait of Madame Matisse (The Green Stripe), which symbolizes our desire to break from conventions and explore new frontiers in art education. Our network of accomplished educators, scholars, and museum professionals share a common vision: to help you see differently.

We founded Green Stripe as veteran educators driven by an unyielding passion for art, history, and culture wanting to share our knowledge with other educators. We know from experience that teaching art and art history with limited quality resources and subject-specific professional development is a challenge. We’ve walked that path ourselves, understand how hard it is, and want to help.

However, our origin story extends beyond the classroom. Green Stripe was also inspired by our adult students seeking personal enrichment or lifelong engagement with art and art history. We wanted to create an educational experience where curiosity knows no bounds and the pursuit of knowledge about the world of art is a never-ending journey.

Green Stripe is a realization of our passions as art lovers and educators unburdened by the constraints of conventional teaching environments. We champion equitable access to visual literacy, the world of art history, and museums, recognizing them as gateways to understanding visual expression, diverse cultures, and the human experience.

At Green Stripe, your learning journey is our inspiration. Join us as we explore the profound significance and meaning of art and its histories as a ‘ways of seeing’ our past, ourselves, and each other.

Let Green Stripe be the playful brushstroke that adds a jolt of vibrant color to your exploration of the world through visual art and culture.
