Professional Development and Continuing Education (PD/CE)


Enrollment, Attendance, and Standards for Completion 

All Green Stripe courses and programs are open to individuals 18 years of age or older, unless the course is specifically designed for a specific grade-level, age-based cohort (ex: 50+), or discipline/content area, and is advertised as such. Course descriptions will include any prerequisites or participation  requirements. 

Enrollment for asynchronous, self-paced courses is through the Green Stripe Consulting or Green Stripe Academy website. Enrollment for synchronous in-person, virtual, or hybrid courses and programs may be through the Green Stripe website, Zoom, Eventbrite, or any platform approved by Green Stripe administrators. Course descriptions include the duration of the course or program and an enrolled participant’s access to online courses, programs, and their associated resources. 

For in-person, hybrid, or synchronous online course or program, participants seeking PD/CE credit are expected to arrive on time and attend every session to complete that course or program. Participants may request an excused absence in writing by emailing the instructor before the start of the program.  Attendance in asynchronous courses or programs are measured by degree of completion in the review of all required lessons, course materials, resources, and coursework. All coursework must be submitted by the deadlines established by the instructor or listed in the syllabus to complete the course.

Attendance records, assessments, coursework, and data analytics will be used to determine if participants have met the necessary criteria for completion. Specific participation and requirements are outlined in the course description, course content, and/or syllabi.

Participants attending or completing at least 80% of the course or program are eligible to request and receive a date/time-stamped, digital, shareable Certificate of Completion with attendee and provider name, program information and earned CEUs. GSC will maintain documentation of attendance and completed hours for 7 years or length of time assigned by some state licensing requirements.

Green Stripe only provides documentation upon the successful completion of a course or program as determined by company and course policies. Green Stripe Consulting LLC does not guarantee and is not liable for acceptance or rejection of Professional Development or Continuing Education credits by employers, institutions, regulatory agencies, or administrators.

 

Books and Course Materials

Course descriptions or syllabi will list all books or materials included in the course fee and required for purchase. Participants are responsible for the purchase of any books and supplies not included in the course fee. Recommended resources are optional to purchase and do not impact participation or evaluation.


Refund Policies

All participants purchasing courses, programs, or content are entitled to a limited 14-day refund from the date of purchase. There is no service charge for qualifying refunds. 

If a course or program is canceled due to low enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances, every effort is made to contact participants before the start of class. If the class is canceled, the participant receives an automatic 100% refund at the time of cancellation. 

Refunds are issued for the following reasons:

  • Participant is unable to view the course or it does not function properly
  • Course is ‘not as described’ or inconsistent with the course description or preview
  • Course support is promised but not provided
  • Course or program is cancelled or rescheduled


Refunds are not issued if:

  • The course did not ‘meet your expectations’
  • It was purchased it by mistake
  • Participant can no longer access the course because it has been removed or access has expired
  • Participant changed their mind or did not complete the course


To initiate a refund request contact us at
admin@greenstripeconsulting.com with your name, the course name, and the reason for the request.


Cancellation Policy

If a course or program is canceled or dates/times are changed by Green Stripe Consulting LLC a full refund will be issued to the participant. Every effort is made to contact enrolled participants when changes or cancellations occur. participants are responsible for providing accurate contact information upon enrollment in order to be contacted in a timely manner.


Cancellation due to Low Enrollment

We do not anticipate canceling classes due to low enrollment and strive to avoid it. However, a synchronous, remote, or hybrid course or program may be canceled if fewer than five (5) participants have enrolled two weeks before the first day of class. 

GSC will notify affected participants via the provided email address as soon as the course or program is canceled and a full refund will be issued. GSC will work with affected participants to find acceptable alternatives, if available.

Asynchronous courses and programs, independent study, consulting and mentoring services will not be canceled due to low enrollment.


Inclement Weather

Green Stripe Consulting LLC (GSC) will alert participants via email provided by the participant with specific information about weather-related closures and delays. You will receive an email from the instructor or GSC as soon as the decision is made to delay or cancel a class or program.

Safety first!! IIf at any time the participant is unable or uncomfortable driving because of inclement weather, contact your instructor or GSC at admin@greenstripeconsulting.com to try and make other arrangements or get an excused absence.


Instructor No Show

Synchronous online, hybrid, and in-person instructors are expected to start and end classes or programs at scheduled times. An instructor is considered a ‘no-show’ if they are not present 15-minutes after the scheduled start time.

When instructors know in advance they are unable to attend, GSC will make appropriate alternative arrangements up to and including a substitute instructor, rescheduling or cancellation. Participants will be notified by the instructor and/or GSC in a timely manner of alternative arrangements or cancellation. Participants are entitled to a full refund if an instructor is a no-show for a synchronous online, hybrid, or in-person course or program without prior notification or an attempt at alternative arrangements.


Participant Conduct

Participants are expected to follow high standards of educational integrity comparable to academic institutions and professional associations. Enrolled participants agree to be honest and authentic in all work submitted for CEU credit. Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism or uncited use of someone else’s ideas or work, or work purchased from a third-party, will not be accepted. Repeat plagiarism or educational dishonesty may result in a participant being removed from the course or program without refund. The use of AI, ChatGPT, or any computer-generated text, media, or image without attribution or acknowledgement is prohibited and will be treated as plagiarism or an act of educational dishonesty. 

Participants are responsible for the accuracy of all biographical and contact information provided online and on all written documentation. For CEU credit, the name you provide on enrollment must match the name on a government-issued identification or teaching license. GSC has the right to cancel a participant’s enrollment without refund, at any point in term, upon discovery of inaccurate biographical or contact information.

All communications are sent via the email provided on enrollment. To protect your privacy and the security of your records, participants should provide an email address that is not shared with any other person. Participants are responsible for maintaining accurate contact information and notifying GSC of any changes in a timely manner.

Participants are expected to behave responsibly and treat others with courtesy and respect at all times in all learning environments. GSC reserves the right to administratively withdraw a participant for serious disruption or destructive behavior, harassment or abuse, discriminatory behavior, hate speech or action, or threat to the health and safety of the learning community.

Participants are not required to use a camera or microphone in virtual meetings, but must communicate their presence and participate accordingly. If participating from a mobile device, participants should not be driving or doing something that requires full attention for safety. Mobile device users should find a safe, quiet place that allows full participation with minimal distraction for everyone.

Participants may not record meetings or class sessions for their own use without written permission from the instructor. Participants will not be recorded or photographed by the instructor or GSC without their written consent. Recordings of courses, programs, meetings, or workshops can not be shared, sold, published, posted, or otherwise publicly distributed without written permission of Green Stripe Consulting LLC.

Participants may not post, publish, sell, share, or otherwise publicly distribute course materials without permission of the instructor and Green Stripe Consulting, LLC. Course materials include, but are not limited to, the following: course content, instructor notes and presentations, GSC produced videos or audio recordings, assessments, answer keys, and other participants’ work. 

All coursework must be submitted and received by established deadlines, including work submitted in person, online, or by email. It is the participant’s responsibility to submit work according to class and instructor requirements and confirm that the submission was received. Late work may be accepted and considered toward course completion with instructor approval and compliance to the course policies. 


Evaluation

Courses offered as PD/CEU opportunities will specify the method(s) for the evaluation of participants. Evaluation will measure both process and production toward the learning objectives of the program.

Evaluation methods will vary depending upon the learning objectives, modality, and content of

the program, but may include any of the following:

  • quizzes, tests, polls, surveys, and checks for understanding
  • written communication
  • performance observation
  • oral or audio-visual communication
  • project-based or applied learning performance rubrics
  • data analytics provided by LMS


Other means of evaluating the learning of participants may be used where the methods listed above are not appropriate for the learning experience or outcomes.

Partial CEUs will not be awarded for the partial completion of a program, a participant who fails to demonstrate satisfactory achievement of outcomes, or refuses to be evaluated.
